Today, thankfulness is a trending topic on Twitter. It’s what you will find at tables across our country, at soup kitchens in our city, and in the hearts of every american. It warms the heart to see such gratitude seeping through the fabric of our society.
And that thankfulness is usually quickly followed by shopping, greed and pride. It’s the society we live in, where thankfulness is a date that comes and goes. It doesn’t mean that we can’t LIVE thankfulness everyday of our lives though.
Let’s make this even easier. We don’t own a single thing. EVERYTHING in our lives is a gift from God, and we are called to be stewards of it. This means that thankfulness and gratefulness should be a lifestyle that we live out every day of our lives.
Ephesians 5:20 “giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Be thankful, and take time to notice every little thing that God has done for you. Look heavenward with praise to a good Father, instead of outward with pride at what you built. You will be surprised what a difference making that simple change in your life will bring. The heavens will open above you as words of praise and thanksgiving enter heaven like a sweet aroma.
You will see God do miraculous things in your life like never before!
